Kenville the Green

And soon to be wet!

I was able to get a little scenery work done around Kenville last weekend. I also fixed up and prepared the pond for water.

Stuff everywhere! The next operating session is in a little over a week so I have plenty of time to get it cleaned up.

The cattails are green floral wire and brown floral tape. It’s a very simple process. Just cut the floral wire to the appropriate length, cut a piece of floral tape to size (trial and error to determine the best size), and wrap the tape around the wire near the top of the stem. Drill a hole and plant.

So just how many cattails are you planning on planting? :) I figure 300 would look about right. ;)

Ha HA! I thought that too, but realistically there will probably only be a few dozen at the top end. They are not difficult to make but I can’t see myself making, and planting, a few hundred!

Things are taking shape. Like what you are doing with the signs on the buildings. The pond should bring the whole scene together.

Huh? I’m not sure what you mean by “what you are doing with the signs on the buildings”

I think the pond will add a lot to the town. I’m going to try to take it easy on the pond “junk”, but there will be some. Like perhaps a rejected chair from the factory or two, a few sticks of wood, and a bit of other unk. The pond will be where Union Ice used to collect their ice in the winter (like it’s such a big pond!).
